Stella Says Swarovski Crystals Are a Girl's Best Friend...
Much like birds who find diamonds and bring them to their nests, I have appreciated the sparkle of precious gems since I was a little girl and always wanted to bring them home. Even as a small child, I was a free spirit with an eye for beautiful gemstones. My heart's desire since I was a young girl was to find a way to make beautiful designs with gems and offer them to the world. Today, I am over the top about offering unique crystallized cellular mobile phones and accessories to you.
As I grew older, I heard the famous statement first made by Marilyn Monroe decades ago, ”Diamonds are a girl's best friend.“ Although diamonds are devastatingly delightful, they are not affordable or accessible to many people. With this in mind, I discovered the glamor and glitter of rhinestones, which I could easily use to create incredible designs for far less money. Because rhinestones are actually made from glass, paste or gem quartz, they are available in abundance at a minimal cost.
Once I realized the possibilities of using rhinestones instead of diamonds, I decided to find the best crystals on the market. I researched rhinestones as a young woman and discovered the first ones were actually rock crystals discovered along the shores of the Rhine River in Austria. Once these rock crystals were depleted, jewelers in the 1700s decided the attempt to duplicate their splendor. The first rhinestones were made by a French jeweler who metal coated the back of clear crystals to force out a reflection to rival diamonds. Once rhinestones were created, people sought to improve them.
The people credited with perfecting the rhinestone and making the finest crystals in today's market are Swarovski. Swarovski crystals contain the highest content of lead in the crystal class for absolutely exceptional quality. Additionally, Swarovski stones have 12 cuts instead of the customary 8, to add an unbeatable level of bling. Daniel Swarovski, the son of a Bohemian glass cutter, applied for a patent to cut crystal stones for rhinestone jewelry in 1892, then set up the original factory in Austria to produce Swarovski crystals. Although Daniel died in 1956 at the ripe old age of 94, the company he left behind remains the leader in international rhinestone production. In fact, most high quality crystal rhinestones are still made in Austria and the Czech republic today.
When I realized the unsurpassed quality and dazzle of Swarovski crystals, I knew that I had to use them to create fashionable, accessible designs for everyone. I wanted to share this wonderful discovery with the world and add a little light to everyone's day.
My decision to drench the world in Swarovski crystals was a timely one. I grew up during the disco era in the seventies and everyone remembers the way a disco ball would illuminate a room. By the time I reached adulthood, society had left disco behind and was embracing the new hip hop culture. I found the fashion for this era fabulous because it was based on the new word ”bling“. Everyone wanted to be ”blinged out“, which meant the more sparkle, the better.
As fashion trends changed, my childhood dream of bedazzling the world had come true. Women, men and children were all clamoring to add glistening glamor to their lives. I began to use Swarovkski crystals creatively, adding allure to clothing and accessories with my unique designs. Fashionable divas, such as Paris Hilton, Sarah Jessica Parker and Lindsay Lohan, sported rhinestone and diamond accessories, such as crystallized cell phones. Even men such as Sean ”Puffy“ Combs and 50 Cent were drenched in scintillating bling and used a crystal cell phone to close those big deals.
I started to experiment some more with Swarovski crystals and discovered that a rhinestone cell phone was just the beginning of what could be done with these wonderful little stones. Besides creating a Swarovski crystal cell phone, I found that all types of accessories could be made one of the kind with crystallizing. From monogramming laptops to encircling photo frames with rhinestones, there were limitless, dazzling possibilities. I drenched license plate covers and hood ornaments for people looking to completely pimp out their rides. I even crystallized iPods and drinking flasks to help get that party started right.
My rhinestone cell phone, iced out iPod and tastefully monogrammed laptop are essential elements of my everyday life and I feel like a star every time I use them. You can feel like the star of your own life with a bedazzling bling cell phone or rhinestone encrusted Blackberry of your own, decorated in a matchless mosaic of Swarovski crystals.
Iced out accessories are also a great way to share the wealth. Why not spread sparkle like I do by giving the gift of bling? Crystallized cell phones, laptops, money clips, photo frames and purses will never be duplicated by other givers, making them a memorable way to show people how much you care. Even brides to be looking for a truly unique idea can crystallize their wedding favors to add a touch of extra luxury their special day.
I am delighted to share my dazzling dream ideas using Swarovski crystals with the world. Sparks by Stella welcomes the opportunity to crystallize your cellular mobile phone and other accessories so you can be the sparkling star of your own life.
